Due to the extreme fire danger within the county, the Converse County Commissioners, on recommendation from the Converse County Fire Warden, are implementing a fire ban, effective at 12 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15th.

All outdoor and open fires and the discharge of fireworks within the unincorporated areas of Converse County are prohibited except for the provisions listed in the resolution.

The county restrictions provide guidance when welding, using acetylene torches, branding and the burning of trash or refuse.

The ban will remain in effect until October 1st. 2021.
