Converse County Joint Communications Center Logo
The Converse Count y Joint Communications Center provides public safety emergency communications services for the Douglas Police Department, Converse County Sheriff’s Office, Detention Center, and Search & Rescue, Douglas Volunteer Fire Department, Converse County Rural Fire, and Memorial Hospital of Converse County Ambulance services. The Town of Glenrock has currently opted out of joint communications but remains a partner. The two centers work closely together to provide public safety emergency communications needs to the agencies and communities they serve.

The center is staffed with a minimum of two dispatchers 24 hours a day year-round and handles 911 calls for Converse County and the city of Douglas, routine calls for service, and administrative calls after hours for the sheriff’s office, police department, and animal control.
